Working at the intersection of creativity, sustainability, and social change…
I advise, speak, and collaborate with organisations working across education, culture, and civic life. My work brings together leadership experience, creative practice, and systems thinking to support institutions navigating complexity with clarity and purpose.
Over the course of my career, I have built an international reputation for my work on sustainable fashion, creative education, and systems change. I am particularly interested in how creativity can help address some of the most pressing challenges of our time, including inequality, mental health, and environmental sustainability.
My work is shaped by a long-standing commitment to creativity, arts-based education, widening participation, and diversity and inclusion. I am particularly interested in the relationship between inequality, racism, lack of access to education, and economic uncertainty, and how these factors shape mental health and social mobility.
I believe that higher education and cultural institutions, including galleries, museums, and performance, have a critical role to play in addressing social inequality. I am also committed to supporting the empowerment, education, and leadership of women.
Advisory and Leadership Roles
I work closely with organisations as a Chair, Trustee, and advisor, supporting strategy, governance, and values-led transformation.
My current portfolio includes:
- Chair, Maudsley Charity, supporting mental health research, care, and community impact
- Trustee, LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art), contributing to the future of creative education and performance
- Advisor, University of Cambridge Centre for Systemic Change, supporting work on systems leadership and transformation
- Trustee, Fashion Museum Foundation, supporting the development of one of the UK’s leading fashion collections and its public programme
Speaking, Media & Engagements
I am a regular speaker, moderator, and contributor across conferences, universities, and cultural forums. I also take part in panel discussions, chair conversations, and host events that bring together diverse perspectives.
I am a frequent podcast guest and media contributor, engaging in conversations on creative education, sustainable fashion, systems change, and the role of culture in shaping more equitable futures.
My work includes convening and moderating high-level discussions with universities and cultural institutions, such as Kellogg College, University of Oxford, on sustainable fashion, systems change, and the role of creativity in addressing global challenges.
My focus areas include:
- Equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Creative education as a driver of social change
- Sustainable fashion and cultural practice
- Mental health, social mobility, and access to education
- The empowerment and leadership of women
I am available for keynote speaking, panel participation, and event moderation.
Commercial and corporate speaking engagements can also be arranged via BlackonSilver.
Writing and Thought Leadership
Through writing, talks, and curated events, I explore how creativity can shape more equitable and sustainable futures. My work often brings together themes of social justice, the environment, fashion, education, and mental health, connecting ideas across disciplines and sectors.
Collaboration
I am always interested in working with organisations and individuals who are committed to imagining and building more just, creative, and sustainable futures.
I also mentor emerging and established leaders across education, culture, and the creative industries, supporting individuals to navigate leadership, purpose, and change, and to develop values-led approaches to their work.
